Greetings unto the Barony of Ynys Fawr,
Last Saturday we experienced one of the most pleasurable Summers day at Tasmania’s Royal Botanical Gardens, our host Baroness Drusticc picked the perfect spot for The Glorious Garden Picnic and the day commenced with a Nordic game of kubb.
During opening court, We had the opportunity of welcoming Lord Bjorn Sæmundarson and the Lady Dagný Sveinsdóttir of Mordenvale, who braved the seas that border our lands to visit us, We thank you for your gracious gift and look forward to the time when you can visit us again.
After Court Sir Wulfgar Jarnsiða, Lord Anselm da Calabria, Lord Perran of Lyskyret and Lord Erlendr Tryggvason took to the field to contest in a Valhalla style Rapier Tournament which was marshalled by TH Lord Declan of Drogheda, altholugh many rounds were fought Sir Wulfgar Jarnsiða was the clear winner on the day.
During our following Court, our Herald and Baronial Scribe, Lord Richard of Dunheved was on hand with two beautifully crafted AoA Scrolls. One for the Lady Alessandra di Fiore di Piero della Mora and one for Lord Flóki Snorrason. The artistry and scribal works of our Kingdom never cease to amaze us.
Baroness Drusticc inigena Eddarrnonn received our personal thanks and Baronial Cypher for her ongoing support, the running of multiply Events and A&S Workshops.
Lord Anselm da Calabria also received our thanks and the Baronial Cypher for his ongoing works within the field of Archery, including Marshalling, Teaching, and organising Arrow Making Workshops to name but a few.
Towards the end of the day I had the opportunity to be taken on a personal tour of Ynys Fawr’s own Medieval Gardens with the confines of the Botanical Gardens by our gardeners Lord Anselm da Calabria and the Lady Wenefrith Everett de Calabria, our walk was most enjoyable and informative, and We thank you for all your great works within the gardens.
Lastly, We would like to thank our Steward the Lady Drusticc for organising this event and to those who stayed behind and assisted us in packing up.
Yours in service,
