The Barony of Ynys Fawr invites all good gentles to a day in the spirit of ancient Rome. Join us for a relaxed picnic in the park, filled with light-hearted contests, public games, and opportunities for friendly rivalry. Throughout the day, guests may earn denarii by taking part in activities, which may then be traded for small comforts, treats, and amusements.
A simple Roman-inspired luncheon from the barbecue is included with entry, with a selection of optional delicacies available for those who wish to further indulge. In the afternoon, our gladiatorial challenges will take the field—open to all who wish to test their mettle or cheer on their chosen fighter.
Whether you come to compete, support your household, or simply enjoy the company of friends beneath the sun, we welcome all to share in a day of games, laughter, and good fellowship.

08:00–9:00 — Arrival & Orientation
• Team arrives, sets up gate, arena, games, BBQ, seating, signs.
• Safety check.
09:00–10:00 — Arrival & Orientation
• Guests check in, receive coins, schedule.
• Light warm-up activities (token crafting, meet-and-greet).
10:00–10:30 — Opening Court
10:30–12:00 — Games
Individual Games

Group Challenges

12:00–13:00 — Lunch
• Buy small items (fans, cordials, wreaths, snacks).

13:00–14:30 — Main Gladiator Tournament (Styles dependant on marshal availability)
• Tiered seating (Citizen/Senator/VIP).
• Betting with coins.
• Coins for winners & correct bets.
14:30–15:00 — Afternoon Activities
• Chariot races (teams of 4)
• Trivia
15:00–16:00 — Closing Ceremony
• Awards & winners.
• Final coin redemption and TAXES
16:00–17:00 — Pack Down
• Clean-up, equipment away, final site sweep.
